My clients are soul-seekers. Change-makers who feel the need to make some changes in their own lives, who are looking to feel more grounded and connected to what’s important.
Maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed at work, or that something is missing in your personal life. Maybe you’ve had great success at work, but are looking around and wondering “is this it?” Maybe you notice buzzing bits of energy that keep you from feeling settled and able to move forward.
Coaching is a process that awakens your passion and purpose and helps you identify what needs to shift in order to live a more fulfilled life. It supports your journey forward by helping you develop new practices, shift perspectives and experience transformation.
We are so driven by what we have to do that we often neglect the nourishment of being, adding it to the long list of “shoulds” (I should be more present, I should relax, I should slow down, I should breathe). By finding your “peace in the wild present” we can bring a potent sense of aliveness and wholeness to your life.
And please understand – whether we work in a more traditional way by phone or in person, or you join me for some amazing walking and talking coaching (see Coaching in the Wild) – I won’t be offering you solutions and answers. There aren’t “Six steps to fulfillment” that you can follow. Coaching offers something else: the chance to discover what is most important to you and to find what is necessary and compelling to help you move forward. I’m just along for the ride to witness and support you. To help you through simple embodied exercises that will help you the rest of your life. And to ask some kick-ass questions from time to time!
Unlock your hidden purpose and open your heart to your own life.
Coaching is a process of inquiry and experience that newly connects you with your dreams or goals, and identifies achievable, actionable steps to make them come true. It is a journey forward in which you develop new practices, shift perspectives and experience transformation, support all the way by the skills and compassion of a coach.
Is coaching like therapy?
Coaches get asked this a lot and although there is overlap between coaching and therapy, they are very distinct practices. Emotional moments might happen in both, but coaching focuses on what is here now and what is ahead of you. It is not oriented to the past, but towards the future.
What drew me to study with The Coaches Training Institute was its compelling focus on how to achieve balance between being and doing. We so easily find ourselves driven by what we have to do that we often lose touch with our being, which holds our deepest truths. Instead we add it to the long list of “shoulds” (I should be more present, I should meditate, I should relax, I should slow down, I should breathe). Once you reconnect with your core values and learn to consciously act from them, everything changes. Your life takes on a potent sense of aliveness and wholeness.
What to expect
As we work together, we begin to identify and clarify your values, explore your life purpose, set both achievable and outrageous goals (if you reach for the moon, you’re likely to stretch further than you thought you could!), and chart paths to help you accomplish your goals while living from your values. I offer you a backbone to keep you accountable as you progress along that path. Coaching isn’t strictly about goals – it is also about shifting your perspective, overcoming obstacles, coming to terms with issues, becoming more whole and finding joy and meaning in your life.
How we work together
Coaching works when it is understood as a relationship that empowers us both – each of us free to ask for what we need within it. Typically, my coaching is one-to-one and conducted over the phone. Sessions are generally 60 minutes unless we decide on a different format. You will call me, unless we’ve made other arrangements. If you’d prefer to meet in person, I am happy to do so at my office in downtown Toronto.
We can custom-design a package to suit your specific needs. Or the à la cart general basics are:
Single session: $125
3 sessions*: $330
6 sessions*: $600
*Packages for three sessions and higher include a 90 minute discovery (first) session.
